// Project summary

DAWN project was held in Niew-Weerdinge,a nice village near city of Emmen. DAWN 's purpose was a big discussion about discrimination existing nowadays against women,whilst having fun at the same time.Thus,by using a great variety of means,all organizations participating(including mine,PRAXIS NGO)finally managed to get all the info required about the topic and by 3different workshops present their conclusions to the other groups and local society.It was a really great experience.

DAWN… a different exchange from all the others for me…There was one whole day in the program just for my birthday…After 5 times in Niew-Weerdinge at last I had the chance to celebrate my birthday there…It was the best birthday party ever….and I have to thank everyone for that especially Alan Prosser…Apart from that we had a very nice time during the program…I still remember the parties…we had a lot of fun then……The funniest of all in the program was the 3-day children program that SKW runs every year in the village….There we met many kids but I cannot forget ‘Nik my favourite one’ he was so funny…I was the leader of his group and together we build a wind mill with the material they gave us…Remind me more things please I’m waiting….

DAWN was an extraordinary exchange! One of the best that I've been and I have participated in lots of them!!! It's wonderful to meet young people all around Europe, get to know them and learn how to cooperate with them!! I also enjoyed very much the activities with the kids; I am greatful that as an adult I was given the chance to interact with children!!! They reminded me of my childhood and of how simple kids can communicate even if they don't speak your language!!! I think that every adult should have that chance!!!

The programme in Niew-Weerdinge was my first experience in that kind of programmes and i really learnt a lot of things.As a young teacher i had the chance to communicate,work and spend great time with kids and youngsters as a leader of a workshop group.During the workshop we found some motos about discrimination against women and some representative pictures from the internet in order to make leaflets of them.In the end we gave a leaflet to each participant.I had the greatest time and i would wrecommend it to anybody!!!!
